6.6 Path Planning

What is Path Planning?

Path planning is the process of creating a path for your robot to follow. This path is usually created using a program called PathWeaver, a program that allows you to create autonomus paths for your robot.

Getting Started

To get started with PathWeaver, you must first download it from the FRC Game Tools page. Once you have downloaded PathWeaver, you can open it by going to the start menu and searching for “PathWeaver”. Once you have opened PathWeaver, you will see the following screen:

You will also need a program called “System ID” to create a model of your robot. You can download System ID from the FRC Game Tools page. Once you have downloaded System ID, you can open it by going to the start menu and searching for “System ID”. Once you have opened System ID, you will see the following screen:

Creating a Model

To create a model of your robot, you must first connect your robot to your computer. You can do this by connecting your robot to your computer using a USB cable or over WIFI. Once you have connected your robot to your computer, you can open System ID. Once you have opened System ID, you will see the following screen:

From here, you must first select the type of robot you are using. You can do this by clicking on the “Select Robot” button and selecting the type of robot you are using. Once you have selected the type of robot you are using, you can click on the “Create New Project” button. Once you have clicked on the “Create New Project” button, you will see the following screen:
